The Stanton College Preparatory School PTSA received the President’s Achievement Award in July during the Florida PTA Leadership Convention in Orlando, Fla.
“We are thrilled to be recognized and we are encouraged that we’re [running the] right types of programs that are making a difference for all of our students and families,” said Stanton PTSA Vice President Cassia Brunner.
The President’s Achievement Award is the highest award given to any PTA or PTSA in Florida, and it was awarded to Stanton’s PTSA because of their unwavering mission to make every Stanton student’s potential a reality.
After a recommendation from the Award Committee and the approval by the respective presidents of the Local Unit Achievement Award Applications and Local Unit Program Award Applications, the organization received the award.
From July 13-16, Stanton PTSA President Charlotte Smith gathered alongside Brunner, treasurer Robin Yates, and other local leaders to learn, collaborate, discuss programs, and network.
“We are looking to increase membership, launch new initiatives, and try our best to reach all students and families in our school community,” said Brunner.
Despite there being no additional funding or incentives, the award provided title recognition to the Stanton PTSA, whose dedication indicates the potential for future development.
